A Franco-Prussian War Of 1870-1871 Cross Of St. George, Type Iii, Ii Class Silver Grade, German-Manufactured For German Troops consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac seven bearing the Slovakian coat-of-arms( ). Instituted in 1807. In silver, unmarked, German manufactured, as awarded to German troops, the reverse number engraved "32" and "116" on the reverse of the arms at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock respectively, measuring 34. 7 mm (w) x 39. 5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, the arms with a dark patina, exhibiting light contact and tarnishing overall, sewn in place to an original period ribbon, better than very fine.
